Violin and Cello Teacher

Hi I'm Amber and I love music!
  • I have completed a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Secondary Education (honours) at Monash University.
  • I have completed Certificate 1 and 2 in Music through the Australian College of the Arts.
  • I am currently working at AMEB's 8th Grade/above on Violin, and 8th Grade on Cello. (Australian Music Evaluation Board)
  • I have completed VCE Music Performance for Violin in 2017.
  • I currently play in the Monash Philharmonic Orchestra.
  • In addition to AML, I have been teaching instrumental Cello and Double Bass lessons in a Secondary School since November 2022.
I have been teaching Violin since 2014, and teaching Cello since 2017, and I love it!
​During Secondary School, I played Violin and Cello in numerous ensembles, was both the Strings Captain and Music Captain, and I started up and ran a Chamber Strings group for 2-3 years at the school. During that Chamber Strings Group, I also mentored and taught students Violin and Cello.
I have played in numerous orchestras and ensembles, including playing 1st Violin in the 2017 Victorian State Schools Spectacular Orchestra, playing Violin in a production of 'Beauty & the Beast' in 2018, playing 1st Violin in the Frankston Symphony Orchestra in 2019, playing 1st Violin in the Victorian Youth Symphony Orchestra (VYSO) in 2023, playing in high level orchestras on Violin for four and Cello for three annual Melbourne Youth Orchestra Summer Schools, and playing Cello in a Quartet from 2018-2019.
Since 2021/2022, I have been in the Monash Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) mostly as Cello section leader, however in 2024 I was the Concertmaster on Violin.
​I am currently the Cello section leader.
In 2024, I also performed Vivaldi's Summer Concerto as the Violin soloist with the MPO.

Flute, Violin and Viola Teacher

Hi, I’m Emily and I love playing music!
  • I have completed VCE Music Repertoire Performance on Flute in 2024.
  • I’m currently working on AMEB Grade 6 for Flute, Grade 5 for Violin, and Grade 3 for Viola.
  • I’m currently playing Violin in the Casey Philharmonic Orchestra.
I’ve been playing music since 2014 and have loved every second of it. I started teaching in 2025 and I’m so happy for the opportunity to share my love of music with others. 
Throughout my high school experience, I played in many ensembles, including being the first concertmaster of the school’s Symphony Orchestra, and first Flute/Piccolo in the Symphonic Band. I was also Performing Arts Captain in Year 12. In each of the ensembles, I would often help mentor other students who needed help with practical playing skills or music theory. I also assisted with the Junior Band when they needed more help. 
I’ve also been playing in the Casey Philharmonic Orchestra since 2022.

Hi, my name is Jonathan, I have a passion for music and working on your craft to become the best version of yourself.
 
  • Completed AMEB grades preliminary - 8 for classical piano.
  • Completed AMEB Certificate of Performance
  • Completed AMEB Theory of Music grades 2, 4, and 5.
  • Completed VCE Music Performance in 2021.
  • Currently working towards Associate in Music, Australia (AMusA)
  • Currently starting Architecture at Monash University.
 
Starting piano at an early age, and playing for 11 years, I have found a passion for sharing my craft and teaching others the beauty of music. I love listening to other interpretations of songs and understanding how people express their music. Although being a solo classical pianist my whole life, Cello has been my secondary instrument and I enjoy duets and also playing with an ensemble. From school, I have developed experience with genres of rock, pop, and jazz, and I enjoy teaching these various genres to other people.

Saxophone Teacher

Hello, my name is Anusha and I am very passionate about music!
​I started learning saxophone over 8 years ago, after hearing someone play the instrument live and then wanting to learn it. I played throughout high school in various ensembles and through the enjoyable experiences I had, I knew I wanted to continue my learning and music-making journey in University.

I am currently a 3rd year Bachelor of Music student specialising in composition and music technology. At University, I continue to play saxophone in various ensembles and I am constantly striving to improve my skills. Up until now, I have been focusing more on classical saxophone and I hope to complete my AMus soon.

I love teaching and hope to eventually become a Secondary School teacher after completing my undergraduate degree and starting a Masters in Education. I would love to teach and share my passion for Saxophone and music with you!
